Neil Young’s “Cowgirl in the Sand” just gave me goosebumps, despite having heard it dozens of times. Neil just does that to you once in a while, you know? Might have to listen to Pocahontas now.
Today’s thought: it’s easy to GET old…all you have to do is wake up in the morning. It’s BEING old that’s tough.
Cancelled remaining speech pathology appointments today: last week’s allergy tests showed that no amount of speech therapy is going to cure Muscle Tension Dysphonia until my allergies (specifically the allergic rhinitis) get under control. No singing for me, and not much talking :(

Listening to John Rutter’s Requiem for the first time in a long time (almost bought it on CD last night but decided to listen via Rhapsody today instead). Forgot how gorgeous it is, and how sad it is.
Sad that mom is leaving today (I can’t even say bye, I’m at work!) but hopes her and Graham had a good time today.
An awesome get-together with friends and mom with sausage bread, horseshoes, homemade ice cream, Outburst and Taboo. More to come tomorrow in Long Island.
